Michael Watts, Partner
& Trial Attorney
Michael Watts was born and raised in Letcher County and made the decision to stay in the mountains to pursue higher education. Michael graduated as valedictorian from Letcher County Central High School, then went on to Alice Lloyd College in Knott County where he worked summers as a deckhand at Carr Fork Marina and founded the Alice Lloyd College fishing team before graduating with honors. He went on to follow his calling of becoming an attorney at the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, VA where he received a full academic scholarship based on his educational merits. He graduated at the top of his class, was the moot court champion, and served on the school's student body association honor court.
Michael is active in the community and dedicated to the revitalization of Letcher County and Appalachia. He is the secretary of the Jenkins Kiwanis Club, President of the Whitesburg Lions Club, and a member of the Whitesburg Masonic Lodge. He serves on the Letcher County library board and is a past volunteer and assistant coach with the Whitesburg Little League and Letcher County Central High School baseball team. He is a devout Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesburg where he volunteers with the youth group and helps teach Sunday School with his wife, Victoria. He is a father to his crown jewel Ruby Watts, and newborn son Tripp Watts.
I have tried more cases in this county than any other attorney. Let me help.
